This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Basis Point mobile application.
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our service to you. This includes data you actively provide, as well as data collected automatically.
While using our Application, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you, including your email address (via Firebase Authentication). We do not collect or store your name, phone number, or physical address.
We use third-party service providers, such as Google Analytics for Firebase, to monitor and analyze the use of our service. These services automatically collect information such as your device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and usage patterns. We do not sell this data. Sharing this data with analytics providers is strictly for the purpose of maintaining app stability, monitoring performance, and improving the user experience, and does not constitute a "sale" under privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA. It is shared solely under a "service provider" agreement.
Your investment strategies, baseline amounts, selected assets (ETFs/Stocks), and historical investment records are stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore. This data is explicitly linked to your account so you can sync it across your devices and use the core functionality of the app. We do not sell this data to third parties.
If you enable Face ID or Touch ID to secure the app locally, this authentication is handled entirely by Apple's iOS operating system. Basis Point never has access to, collects, or transmits your actual biometric data.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights, including the right to access, update, or delete the personal information we have on you. You can delete your account entirely from within the app settings. For other requests, contact us at the email below.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal data is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt-out of the sale of their data. Basis Point does not sell your personal information. Our use of analytics tools is for internal service improvement only, acting as a service provider relationship.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so we can remove the information.
We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via the Settings menu in the app, which instantly removes your data from our servers.
